Delete VASA Replication Groups

VMware vVols enables data replication, snapshots, and encryption to be controlled at the VMDK level instead of the LUN level, where these data services are performed on a per VM (application level) basis from the storage array.

Prerequisites

  • The storage system must be running PowerMaxOS 5978 Q3 2020 or later.

To delete a replication group:

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Select Storage > vVol Dashboard.
  3. Click Replication Groups
  4. Select a replication group and click An icon showing a bin symbol.
  5. Optional: Click Advanced Options and select the SymForce checkbox.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Click Run Now to perform the operation now.
    • Expand Run Now and click Add to Job List to add this task to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
